Capturing Beautiful, High-Quality Breast Photos in RAW With Your Phone
How to Photograph Your Breasts Using RAW
Capture the highest quality images on iPhone or Android
For the best detail, editing flexibility, and color accuracy, we recommend photographing your breasts using the RAW format. RAW files preserve far more visual information than JPEG/HEIC and allow us to adjust exposure, shadows, and skin tone with maximum accuracy.
This guide walks you through:
- Checking if your phone supports RAW
- Turning on RAW mode
- Recommended camera apps if yours doesn’t
- Practical breast-photography tips
- How to export and upload your RAW images
Why RAW Matters
RAW images contain unprocessed sensor data. Unlike JPEG:
- Highlights and shadows can be recovered easily
- Skin texture is preserved
- Color grading is more accurate
- There’s no compression loss
RAW = the highest quality your phone can produce.
The format used by phones is DNG (including Apple ProRAW), which we fully support.
iPhone Instructions (RAW / ProRAW)
Which iPhones support RAW?
Most models from iPhone 12 Pro onward support ProRAW natively. Many older iPhones can still shoot RAW through apps (details below).
Enable RAW mode in Apple’s Camera app
- Open Settings → Camera → Formats
- Turn on Apple ProRAW
- Select preferred resolution (recommended: 48MP if available)
- Open the Camera app
- Switch to Photo mode (RAW only works in Photo mode)
- Tap the RAW button (it turns white when active)
Take your photographs with:
- Good window light
- Back camera (much better quality)
- Steady arms or a tripod/stand
Your results save as .DNG files.
Android Instructions (RAW / DNG)
Most Android phones that support RAW:
- Google Pixel
- Samsung Galaxy S/Note/Ultra

Enable RAW in Android Camera apps (typical steps)
- Open Camera app → Settings
- Look for Advanced or Professional mode

- Confirm files save as .DNG
Naming varies slightly by brand—some call it “RAW+JPEG” and others “DNG”.

No problem—use any of these popular free camera apps:

ProCam X Lite (Android / free)
- RAW option in free tier
- Manual exposure
Halide (iPhone / trial available)
- Pro RAW controls
- Best low-light handling
Any app listed above will output proper .DNG RAW images.
How to Take High-Quality Breast Photos (Technical Tips)
These tips are about creating clear, consistent RAW images:
Lighting
- Stand near a large window or bright lamp
- Avoid overhead lighting
- Avoid direct sunlight creating harsh shadows
Camera positioning
- Use the back camera (selfie cameras are lower quality)
- Stabilize the phone on a stand or shelf
- Frame from slightly above chest level for natural shaping
Composition
For before/after or measurement consistency:
- Straight-on
- Left 45° angle
- Right 45° angle
- Close details if needed
Focus
Tap the area you want sharp, then lock focus if your app allows.
Exposure
Underexpose slightly if unsure—the RAW file will recover shadows beautifully.
Exporting / Sending Your RAW Files
On iPhone
- Files app → Browse → Recents → select .DNG files
- Share via upload tool on our site
On Android
- File manager → DCIM → Camera or app folder → .DNG files
- Upload directly
Make sure you do not convert to JPEG or HEIC—keep the RAW originals.
